Daniel Stange
Danny Stange is a Colorado native and has over twenty years experience of direct involvement with Indigenous Mexican art and philosophy. He has designed curriculums to teach the Aztec/Mayan calendar systems and seeks to integrate native beliefs into our education system. Most of the advances in human society over the last 200 years have been through great influences in the natural worldview that Native American societies have imparted. Danny works in local community development and believes strongly in the Promotora de Salud model.
Michael Stanwood
Stanwood is a five-time winner of Westword's Best of Denver for everything from his recordings to his performances. He has composed scores for dance, theater, and film as well as for three critically acclaimed recordings. He has produced multi-media events for The Denver Zoo (Animal Communiqué) and The Denver Museum of Nature and Science (The Circle of Life). He has toured throughout Southeast Asia as a musical goodwill ambassador for the U.S. Information Service. He now plays a variety of ethnic instruments like the didjeridu, the Thai khaen, and the mbira, as well as the guitar.
Birds of Prey Foundation
For over 35 years, we have helped injured and orphaned raptors recover, adjust to our modern environment, and enjoy healthy, productive, free lives. Since 1981 the Birds of Prey Foundation has accepted over 16,000 birds. Specialized round-the-clock care and large flight areas enable hundreds of these magnificent raptors to enjoy a second chance at freedom every year.
Bird Species We Help
The Birds of Prey Foundation specializes in raptors such as eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, and osprey. We also accept vultures, pelicans, herons, egrets, ravens, and other native bird species.
Althea's Sunday Gatherings are live-streamed to Facebook and recordings available on Althea's YouTube! If you can't be with us in person, you can still be with us in spirit!
