Being a mother and grandmother has taught me that everything works best when kindness, compassion, and fun are present. I'm good at seeing the best in people, and my joy is hearing others speak their truth and be enlivened by it. I believe that “everything one needs can be found in your community.” This philosophy, coupled with 23 years of Human Resources experience, is making this position an absolute joy.

RICK STANTON (he/him)
Director of Operations
Rick Stanton started in the role of Althea's Operations Director in August 2021. Rick first found Althea Center while working in Althea's building at St. Francis Center where he is a Case Manager for people experiencing homelessness. He began attending services and other offerings at Althea and found a spiritual home. Rick is a pianist and loves making music with singers and other musicians.

DARRELL JOHNSON (he/him)
Building Manager
For the past 25 years, Darrell has worked as Resident Manager of Chesney-Kleinjohn Apartments, providing affordable housing to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. He has sung with the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus and many other Choruses in Denver and the metro area. Darrell currently sings with Sage Singers and The Boulder Chorale. He’s honored to be the current caretaker of Althea’s beautiful structure.
