BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Rick has been a seeker of spiritual truth since 1993 and brings to the Althea Center many years of experience in Human Resources and Training, and as a professional writer. He also leads Althea Center's Prayer Partners, a healing division of Althea, and available to anyone needing affirmative prayers for life's challenges. Rick would like to see our beautiful sanctuary restored to its original splendor, but knows the true legacy of the founding Brooks sisters is the spiritual community they built. He is proud to be part of sustaining that community for future generations to live and learn about Love, Peace, and Oneness.
Before retiring in 2013, David had worked for over 30 years in banking and finance, specifically in the areas of consumer and corporate lending, collections, and financial management. Being in nature is what drives and empowers David’s spirit. He has been a member of Althea since 2017. The strong feeling of community, the opportunities for involvement and contributing to the community, and the Sunday Service messages that have had a significant impact on his own spiritual growth, are what attracted him to Althea. Currently serving as Treasurer, David wants to ensure financial stability and the accurate management and reporting of all revenue and expenses at Althea.
Ginny found Althea in 2016 and dove in headfirst to its amazing community. She currently serves as Board Secretary and is committed to Althea's mindful yet robust growth and continued diversity. In the working world, Ginny gets excited about empowering healthier humans as the Executive Director of Healthy Learning Paths, which brings custom health curriculum into schools along the Front Range, pre-K through high school. Ginny has 25+ years working in the corporate world, for-profit and nonprofit. Her degrees are a BS Finance and an MBA Entrepreneurship, and she is a champion of the Denver/Boulder startup community, especially around empowering entrepreneurial women. Ginny is an almost-native to Colorado, with 25 years in Denver. She is married to a wonderful guy from Texas, and they have an effervescent and unstoppable 11-year-old, Naomi. Family time with her husband and daughter are top of the list, but more stamps on her passport are always a good thing.
Charlie was initially drawn to the Althea Center by an insatiable curiosity regarding human existence and purpose, a youthful resentment towards organized religion, and a calling to want to experience the interconnectedness of life through spiritual engagement and community. After attending a couple of services, he was hooked and has been coming back for years ever since. He joined the board in January of 2020, where he brings his “early millennial” perspectives, ideas, and skillsets to the Althea leadership team in various capacities. Charlie’s education and experience in healthcare, through his doctorate in pharmacy (PharmD) and decade-long practice as a hospital-based clinical pharmacy specialist, has made him a point person for the health and safety of the Althea community. Additionally, his background with computers and recent career shift into healthcare technology have helped the center to progress in new and advanced ways. He’s a vegetarian, a cat-lover, a life-long learner, a Grateful Dead fanatic, and a hardcore metaphysics enthusiast.
Courtney LeDuc joined Althea’s community as a member in October of 2015. She has been involved with Sunday services, Greeting and Ushering, Flower donation, Prayer Partners, and as an enthusiastic course attendee, including completing the ISP coursework. Courtney took over the direction of the Youth and Family program at the end of 2016, and resigned at the beginning of COVID to spend time with her family on her 60-acre wilderness property in Morrison, CO. Courtney has her MA in Contemplative Education from Naropa University and is currently pursuing her MDiv from All Paths Divinity School online. Courtney is dedicated to serving Althea’s community, and Spirit in resonance and joy.
