Rev. Doug Fisichella - President

Doug comes to Althea with a background in Security Design and Consulting. He is a lifelong student of metaphysics, having been ordained by the Metaphysical Research Society of Denver, and he is author of the book Spiritual Practicality. Doug is involved with the special events coordination at Althea and brings his experience as a musician and recording engineer to our services, events, and our monthly “Soulshine Jam” open mic session.

Rick Shaffer - Vice President

Rick has spent a lifetime as a student of metaphysics and is the fourth generation of a family of metaphysical students and practitioners. He has a wealth of experience in both corporate management and the operation of his own business, which includes marketing, recruiting, training, customer service, quality control and the many aspects of operating a business. Rick served as President and as Secretary of the Board at his previous Spiritual Center where he focused on that center’s growth and financial stability. Rick's desire is to see the face of God within our community as demonstrated by the face we put on at the front door and with each other, and he is passionately dedicated to the upkeep and restoration of our beautiful building. Rick is deeply committed to his continued spiritual growth in the Oneness and to Althea’s contribution to that growth for himself and others.

Rev. Dr. Angela Galik, PhD, - Secretary

Angela has a background in cultural studies, spirituality, writing, management, and the arts.  Ordained in a metaphysical, interfaith tradition, she uses music ministry to help people experience their connection to the Divine. In her board role, she supports the Center’s initiatives around diversity and social justice. She finds her home at Althea because she believes that the work of “awakening the spirit of oneness in all” is one of the most important things we can do to bring about planetary healing.

Ginny Castleberry - Treasurer

Ginny has a strong corporate background that includes leading teams of people and projects.  Now she is spending her time in an entrepreneurial space, networking like crazy and brainstorming solutions.  She has a fire for professional speaking, both on the stage and coaching others.  She has been a member of Althea since 2016 and currently leads the Marketing Team, where her goal is to make our marketing run like a well-oiled machine to spread the word about the coolest "un-church" in Denver.

Kathryn MacKay

Kathryn's joy has always been seeking God through nature and spiritual teachings.  Her desire to know and learn has led her to many churches, study groups, and seminars over the years.  However, it wasn’t until she found First Divine Science/Althea eight years ago that she felt she had at last found her own spiritual home.  She is excited to share this home with others, so she heads up our Membership Committee.  She also initiated Festival for the Soul at Althea because of her own interest in the healing arts.  She has been a professional energy worker and reflexologist for 15 years in addition to her more than three decades of being a professional makeup artist for print, film, and video.

Lisa McIntyre

Lisa has decades of experience creating and implementing solid organizational strategies, a strong web presence, and end-to-end systems for entrepreneurs so they can spend more time living and less time working. She loves people and “geeks out” on data, making her a perfect fit to lead Althea’s Volunteer program. Lisa is a lover of life, a oneness-focused spiritual mutt, an avid road tripper, and a student of Journalism & Social Documentary at Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Rick Kitzman

Rick brings to the Althea Center many years of experience in Human Resources and Training. He is a professional writer and has been a serious seeker of spiritual truth since 1993. Rick’s personal goal is to help build the Affirmative Prayer Program and he is a member of our Prayer Partners team. Additionally, Rick would like to help restore the Center to its original splendor and grace, which the founding Brooks sisters built into our amazing spiritual sanctuary building so our community and future generations can enjoy its beauty for years to come.
